Make Cash Writing News Articles

No comments :

I figured this would be a good place to post due to the subreddits demographic. (if posting this is against the rules of the sub let me know and I'll delete it)

Anyways the company I work for hires college students as freelance writers. The role doesn't require any prior experience and is a good way for students with some free time and decent writing skills to make some extra cash.

We start our authors off at $1.40 per 100 words however once established authors can make substantially more due to pay increases and our revenue share system. So a 500 word article would pay $7, 1000 word article would pay $14, ect... (top authors make over $1000 a week just to give an idea of the earning potential)

Anyways the project I'm tasked with hiring for right now is straight forward news writing. We would provide places for you to source content and then you would write news articles based off of it.

Examples:

For word count articles should generally be somewhere from 400-800 words. That said this is flexible on the up-side.

There are a few requirements to look over:

  • Must be able to write the content fairly quickly. Time is money with breaking news so you need to be able to choose a topic and write the news article quickly so we can make the wire.

  • This is a long-term position - We are really looking for a good writers to work with, long-term. You can work on your own schedule but we require authors to write at least 2-3 articles per week.

  • Must be a native english speaker - These articles need to be reader-friendly so grammar needs to be fluent. College students are some of our most successful writers.

If you are interested and meet the criteria above just send an email to Jobs@optimmediagroup.com (put "news writer" somewhere in the email) for more information about applying and getting a paid sample topic to write about.
