NiceTalk Tutor - $10/hour - How I earned an easy $100 chatting in English!

Intro:
Hey everyone, I recently came upon an App called “NiceTalk” on Android and iOS that pays $10 an hour to "Tutor" English with Chinese Students. You do not need any prior teaching experience. It is targeted at "conversational english". What this means is that you basically hold a conversation and get paid $10 an hour. This is valuable to Chinese students as it gives them a chance to practice their English with someone else other than their school English teacher.

Earnings / Pay:
You are paid $10 an hour. The majority of my sessions are around 10-20 minutes, you are still paid in relation to how long the sessions is. For instance 15 minutes = $2.50, 30 minutes = 5.00 ect. You are paid through Paypal every Monday. You must have made at least $20 that week for the money to be deposited in your account, if you only make 19 dollars that week, you will get paid the next week once you hit the $20 threshold.

About the Students:
So far the majority of my students have been around 18-29. As a man I find many of my students are female. New students load a prepaid amount of minutes they can chat with a tutor and when their minutes are up the call ends. All of the students I have encountered are very kind and just want to practice their English.

A typical session:
My main fear when starting NiceTalk was running out of things to say. This has not been an issue, the students are typically the ones that do most of the talking, after all they are the ones practicing their English! I keep a simple "cheat sheet" of questions I can ask students if I ever do run out of topics of conversation.

How to get Approved:
The approval process consists of recording a 30-60 second interview. It is very simple and done completely on your phone, through the app. All you need to do is prove that you speak English fluently. I talked about my educational history, why I like teaching, my interest in china, and my goals as a tutor. Tip: Wear a nice shirt and a tie for that professional look.

After Approval:
You are ready to tutor! Complete your profile and click "go online"! When a student is ready to join, you will get a "call screen" come up at which point you have 60 seconds to swipe right and join the chat. I was very nervous before my first chat, but trust me, it only gets easier from there.

Busy Times:
I have found that I start to get chats around 10 PM EST, with the highest frequency between 3-6 AM, slowing to a halt around 10 AM EST.

Extra Notes for Tutors:
Currently only available to the USA, Canada, Australia, and England.
