Trade school AND college?

Hey, just want to start things off saying if this is the wrong sub please redirect me.

So, I'm 17 years old and looking to major in film. However, it's a major risk so I am considering going to trade school to become an utility lineman, and then going to film school once I have a stable income source. What are the pros/cons of this? Is it doable? Also, my GPA isn't the best. Do trade schools have transcripts that I could transfer to a college?
