Spent a total of around $8 on laundry soap last year (family of six)

I know there are laundry soap recipes that have already been posted in the past but it looked like none of them were the one I use so figured I’d share it.

1 bar Fels Naptha (grated) 1 c. borax 1 c. Washing soda Desired amount of essential oils (optional)

Heat a pot of 4 cups hot water on medium high and add the grated Fels Naptha. Stir until completely melted.

Fill a 5 gallon bucket halfway with warm water and add the melted soap.

Stir in 1 cup borax and 1 cup washing soda.

Add 1 oz essential oils of your choice

Stir everything together and fill bucket the rest of the way with warm water.

Let sit 24 hours before using, stir occasionally.
