Is .50 or 79 cent for 28 oz tomato sauce about as good as it gets?

Without some insane couponing magic.

A place nearby me had 28 oz plain crushed sauce jars (no sugar garbage) for .50 cents a can a while back, and I was like "Hmm seems good" and only realized LATER ON that this was a blazing deal.

I see them for .79 cents again and don't want to miss the chance to stock up. This is less than half the price of the typical price of unshitted-up can/jar sauce (i.e. Prego, Newsmans) I can typically find.
