Best bang for buck humidifier? $50 or less

I read this is another sub when I googled this question

"So you've got warm mist types that heats up the water to create steam. This will humidify your room faster than any other option, humidifying an entire room in under an hour, but, it also poses the highest risk for mold and bacteria because of the heat, and the highest risk for soaking your floors and walls in soggy sog, because it will continue pumping out moisture whether the air can hold it or not.

Then you've got cool mist "flingers". They just spin around a plastic drum to attempt to atomize the water, but they don't really get it small enough, they usually leave the floor very damp underneath and require a towel, and they're not as effective as the warm steam. These are the worst kind, since they pose almost just as much risk of bacteria, mold, and soggy surfaces as the warm steam, but are slower at humidifying a room.

Then you've got the new ultrasonic cool mist emitters. These are awesome, actually atomize the water molecules as small as they can go so they're very unlikely to create a damp floor, but they're very slow at actually increasing the humidity, and they make an awful random dripping noise that you can't sleep through like you can with fan white noise.

And then my personal favourite, there's the evaporative humidifier. These are the slowest, but they can still fully humidify a room in under 24 hours. They also require you to buy wicking filters, these sit in a jug of water, wick it into the filter, and then a fan blows air across the filter. These filters get moldy fairly quick, within 1-2 months, and need frequent replacement. BUT these humidifiers are the safest to use, since by their very physical nature they cannot over humidify a room. As the air gets more humid, the water just simply stops evaporating off the wicking filter, it's physics. They have 0 chance of getting any part of the floor or walls soggy with moisture. And they make a nice white noise fan that you can sleep through."

It seems most of the ones on amazon.ca (canadian) are cool mist that are sub $50. Are the cool mist still that bad? They all have good reviews. I also have a computer in the room, should I be worried about all the moisture? I'd probably just be running it at night.
